Had the use of a friends snowboard for the day so thought i should make proper use of it. I phoned up Al to ask him where Eisteddford Gurig was and decided to make a trip out there with a few others. Arrived there but wasnt exactly sure which slope he was using. Decided to park up in one of the laybys on the second big bend and unloaded all the gear.
Had never tried snowboarding in my life so strapped in and just went for it being careful to avoid the rocks. Managed to travel 10 feet or so before falling on my arse, got up again and managed to get to the bottom of the slope without crashing into the fence. I had a few more gos each time gaining more confidence before it was someone elses turn.
After everyone had there go, decided the snow wasnt thick enough as it was a South facing slope directly into the sun, thought it would be better if we'd head back and try and find a North slope. Giving it a 3 stars as the snow wasnt quite thick enough in places
